Summer is here, and it’s time to share the latest news and exciting events from Citizenfund with you! June was a month full of meetings, partnerships, and successes for our ecosystem. Here are the latest updates:
Citizenfund Events
🚀 We continue with our scale-up program at ASHOKA. This collaboration allows us to refine our vision and accelerate our impact.
🌍 We had the privilege of attending the Colloquium on Balancing Economic Development and Just Climate Transition! This event brought together experts such as Marek Hudon and Brussels State Secretary for Economic Transition, Barbara Trachte. We participated in engaging and inspiring discussions for a more sustainable future.
🗣️ We were invited as speakers at Close The Gap to present Citizenfund to a delegation from Morocco. It was an opportunity to share our vision, successes, and challenges, as well as our future projects, with an international audience. The impact of our community extends beyond borders!
🍽️ We had the opportunity to participate in a dinner with other B-Corp companies. The exchanges with these leaders were a true source of inspiration and sharing of experiences. Together, we strengthen the movement of business with a positive impact.
🔎 We organized a selection committee for potential new investments. Stay tuned, as we will soon introduce innovative projects that may join Citizenfund!
🎉 We were nominated for the Hub Awards in the Bloom category! While we didn’t win the prize, BC MATERIALS did. So, it’s a great achievement for us too 😉…

The projects updates
🌾 Linked Farm offers its members a 4% dividend! If you’re interested in getting involved in the local food movement or if you know someone who might be, spread the word about Linked Farm!
🚴 Urbike has established a new partnership with Brussels Recycling Metal, a major player in waste collection and recycling. This collaboration reflects the evolution of cyclo-logistics, attracting a diverse range of customers. Both parties recently participated in the “Le Tram” program dedicated to cargo bikes, which you can watch here.
♻️ Happy anniversary to Yuman ! Your favorite circular shopping store is celebrating its 4th year. This is an opportunity to celebrate the 80 Belgian projects supported by Yuman, the challenges overcome, and the opening of their second store. Congratulations to the whole team!
🐴 Join the Hyppy team on Sundays in July for a two-hour carriage ride accompanied by a Cap Patrimoine guide. Explore the Sonian Forest, Bois de la Cambre, and Coin du Balai in Watermael-Boitsfort during a captivating historical tour and discover the lesser-known history of Brussels.

🤖 Polyperception is among the 16 companies selected by the European Union to participate in Amazon’s sustainability acceleration program! Congratulations to them for this opportunity.
🪑 Relieve Furniture has been featured in BECI and L’Avenir magazines, where they are reinventing the future of workspace by offering a clever solution to reduce waste of one million furniture pieces in Belgium.
👶 Barbara Trachte, Brussels State Secretary for Economic Transition and Minister-President of COCOF, along with Arnaud Pinxteren, Ecolo Alderman for Early Childhood, paid a visit to the Snappies team! They had the opportunity to observe and discuss Snappies’ work in the daily collection, cleaning, and distribution of 2000 reusable diapers.
🚴 HOOBA has launched the #HoobaMobilityChallenge in the buildings of their client Cofinimmo, which has significantly increased the use of their bikes! A commendable initiative that promotes sustainable mobility.
📖 The new issue 23 of Wilfried is out! Titled “Belgique vagabonde,” it invites you to rediscover our beautiful territory. Their journalists explored destinations such as Durbuy, Oignies-en-Thiérache, Bièvre, Mechelen, and Orval during unique journeys, by bike and tractor…
🏡 The work is progressing at Novacitis in La Menuiserie! Check out a video showcasing the progress and feel the peaceful atmosphere of the place.
