Citizenfund funds 2 new impact startups 🚜✋

Less than 2 months after our last investments ( Coucou, Bulkbar and Novacitis), we are pleased to announce 2 new investments in social enterprises: Ma Ferme and BPart.

On 21 June 2021, the entrepreneurs behind these two projects had the opportunity to present themselves to our cooperators. They had previously been challenged by our selection committee, which evaluated them on 5 criteria (societal impact, financial plan, business operations, team and capacity to deliver). Our cooperators then voted for 10 days “for” or “against” the funding.

My Farm received 89% of positive votes and Bpart 61%. Our cooperators had the last word: both projects will therefore be financed by our impact investment fund. The participation rate in the vote was 23%.

“By actively participating in the Citizenfund initiative, you are showing your interest in a world that is more balanced, more understanding, more responsible, more joyful, in short, more human. A more responsible world, because not only do you take a close interest in your investments by asking all your questions in order to understand all the issues at stake, but also because investing in a project makes us co-responsible for its success, just like the people who run these projects. Alain Boribon, co-founder of Citizenfund.

These two projects join the 15 startups previously funded by Citizenfund: urbike, Incredible Company, Wilfried, CinéCité, Give a Day, Happy Hours Market, Waio, NewB, BC Materials, Incofin, Entusia, Sonian Wood Coop, Bulkbar, Cuckoo and Novacitis.
