The Citizenfund continues to gain recognition !

The month of April was rich in exchanges and meetings for Citizenfund. We have been in frequent contact with a wide range of players interested in our disruptive model. This included a meeting with the Club Of Rome, where we were able to exchange ideas with representatives of the organization and see how we could work together in the future! But also with meetings with well-known Belgian financial players, such as Crédal, to discuss the future of impact investing and what we could do together to develop Citizenfund.

The Annual General Meeting is coming up !

Ouch it hurts...

It’s with great disappointment that we share this news with you: for the first time in its history, Citizenfund has to say goodbye to a project. Coucou, which has unfortunately gone bankrupt. We had supported them with 12,000 euros, which we unfortunately won’t be able to recover.

As you know, Citizenfund is there to help financially, but not only. We also support our projects in other ways: we are their ambassadors, communicators… We’re keeping a close eye on our project and knew that Coucou wasn’t doing well, but we didn’t know that they were thinking of filing for bankruptcy. Following this surprise, we have updated the contracts we sign with our projects to ensure total transparency….

With start-ups having a low survival rate, we know that the projects we support are risky. Even more so when they have a social or environmental purpose. So it’s normal for projects to fail… but that doesn’t stop us from feeling a bit sick at heart…  💔

If you have any questions, please email us at info@citizenfund.coop. We’ll try to answer them in our next newsletter.

Citizenfund X Meet my job

As you may have seen on our networks, we are now collaborating with Meet My Job, the Belgian recruitment platform for finding a job with sustainable companies.

Each month, we’ll include in our newsletter a few offers found on their site (with a particular focus on companies in the Citizenfund universe, because we can be chauvinistic from time to time… 😉).
